Mammals and Ice Age

Most of our mammal material comes from the Pleistocene Ice-Age. Mammoth remains, deer, horse, bison, and cow are just some of the many animals dredged from the North Sea. Mammals from older periods tend to be much smaller and rarer, although we often have Oligocene specimens.
