Silicon Carbide Grit

We sell a range of Silicon Carbide Grits for the various stages of stone tumbling. Grit are high quality grade for optimum performance when tumbling. Smaller quantities come with a resealable pot which is a reusable screw top container with inner seal lid. 4kg and higher quantities come in a resealable container which is also screw top and contains a carry handle. For most uses, use F80 (Coarse) and F400 (Fine).

Polishing Powder

We recommend Zinc Oxide for stone tumbling. Our special grade works faster with better results than Cerium Oxide (Often used as a standard polish in Lapidary), is cleaner, lighter and more cost effective. 'Tin Oxide' can also be used for that extra shine. All our polishing powders are provided in re-sealable special containers. Did you know - If you add our plastic pellets, it will go further and polish faster!

Plastic Pellets

Our plastic pellets for stone tumbling are sold in 250g bags and are a medium filler. They are used in the final stages of tumbling to aid the polishing agent and cushion the stones.

Stainless Steel Media (Fine)

Mixed with water and Barrelbrite for thorough cleaning and polishing on intricate metal work. Cleans brass fittings, silver and gold. 10 grams of Barrelbrite per 1kg of mixed shot. Contains rust inhibitor. Use with BARRELBRITE

Stainless Steel Pins

These are larger 40 x 2.65mm Pin nails. Used as an alternative to fine media for items where the small shots of fine media can become wedged into small areas, such as gun cartridges. Cleans brass fittings, silver and gold. Mix with water and Barrelbrite for thorough cleaning and polishing. 10 grams of Barrelbrite per 1kg of pins. Contains rust inhibitor. Use with BARRELBRITE
